Craig Schelter told the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation executive board at Thursday's meeting that they will soon be receiving a package with drawings and documents detailing how the plan to redevelop the Central Delaware Waterfront negatively impacts the property owned by James Anderson, whom he was representing.

After the meeting, he said he could not detail the issues until the document was delivered to DRWC, but in short, the concerns were that Anderson has not been provided with enough detail about the city's vision for the future of his property, and that what is known lends itself to the possibility of the public taking of private property.

Schelter is executive director of the Development Workshop, and the Workshop has expressed similar concerns throughout the creation of the Central Delaware Master Plan.

Schelter has been around the Philadelphia city planning block. Trained as an architect, his first job out of graduate school at Harvard was working for Ed Bacon, and six months later he became the Center City planner. He was executive director of the Planning Commission for 15 years, the executive vice president of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation for 19 years, and now consults on planning and economic development issues.
