For middle school students looking into their high school options, the School District of Philadelphia has 60 options. But what are the chances those students will get the chance to really consider all their options?
A tool developed over the weekend
gives students the run-down on citywide, neighborhood and selective schools across the city, letting kids see what their options are based on their performance, and giving them and their parents a sense of the schools' environments.
Students can enter their grade average, PSSA scores and attendance and disciplinary records to determine whether they're able to apply to the selective schools, and simultaneously read the schools' profiles and compare their graduation rates.
