Eyes on the Street is a place for news, observations, and conversation about Philadelphia’s built environment. We seek to connect PlanPhilly's process and policy coverage with the experience of living in the city.
Here you’ll find discussion about good design, great neighborhoods, vibrant communities, interesting architecture past/present/future, smart planning and development projects, and the many individuals who make those things happen in Philadelphia. It’s also a space where Philadelphians can engage with one another about the built environment of their city.
Eyes on the Street is edited and principally written by Ashley Hahn.
Our first post, Begin Here, was on September 16, 2011.
Eyes on the Street was launched in 2011 by PlanPhilly. As of March 2015 PlanPhilly is a project of WHYY/Newsworks.
PlanPhilly was created in 2006 as a project of PennPraxis, the clinical nonprofit arm of PennDesign.
